Reims Management School (RMS)

The program features around 450 hours of instruction and is based on the acquisition of three levels of skill:

Courses are taught mainly in French.

Level 1 – The Toolbox
Professional alternation focused on:

11 weeks of intensive instruction. During this time, students learn the theoretical foundations of financial analysis careers.

An in-company internship. During the internship, 2-day seminars are held every two weeks.

Level 2 – Analyst Culture

This instruction provides as complete and exhaustive a picture as possible of the different facets of a career in financial analysis. This approach includes technical coursework in addition to communication classes and personal development.

Level 3 - Expertise

This section prepares students for the SFAF examination and the international CIIA (Certified International Investment Analyst) degree.

The theoretical courses are held at Reims from October to December (300 hours of instruction):

  • Financial Accounting
  • Financial Theory and Modern Portfolio Theory
  • Business Finance
  • Economics
  • Stocks and Bonds
  • Credit Management
  • Derivatives
  • Expertise in International Financial Analysis.
The practical courses are held at Paris at the Palais Brongniart from January to September (150 hours of instruction):

  • Economics
  • Stocks and Bonds
  • Credit Management
  • Derivatives
  • Expertise in International Financial Analysis.

ASSIGNMENT IN A COMPANY
Financial analysis positions require a good experience in the field.
The assignment in a company takes place from January to October alternately with the seminars in the organizations described further up;
Participants benefit from personalized accompaniment for their internship search and develop privileged relationships with a certain number of the people teaching in the program

PROFESSIONAL THESIS
Closely linked to the student’s assignment in a company, the professional thesis
Is destined to present, analyze and solve a significant financial analysis question.
It is subject to yearlong follow up.

“How ensure the independence of sell side financial analysts?”
“How carry out a successful initial public offering on Alternext?”

Other events (conferences, seminars, etc.) are offered to students throughout the academic year.
